The reconstruction of the Bonaventure Expressway as an urban boulevard is the cornerstone of Vision 2025. In order to reclaim the waterfront and knit together the adjacent neighbourhoods, major infrastructure work is required in this part of the city. This is a twofold project: the realignment of the Bonaventure Expressway allows for construction of a greenbelt alongside the St.Lawrence River and the transformation of the existing elevated highway into an at grade urban boulevard aims at transforming a no man's land into a vibrant neighbourhood.

In order to validate the project's feasibility and assess its economic impact, the Société du Havre de Montréal commissioned its consultants to conduct two studies: one dealing with the technical prefeasibility and the other analyzing its costs and benefits.

The report "L'autoroute Bonaventure Vision 2025" presents the summary of these studies.
