The Société du Havre de Montreal (SHM) is a non-profit organization created by the shared commitment of the federal and provincial governments and the City of Montreal to redevelop the Harbourfront sector and reconnect the city to its river. For this major economic, social and cultural project in an urban area that plays a key role in Montréal’s future, the Société du Havre de Montréal has developed Vision 2025, in which public and private stakeholders have defined their investment projects. As such, in addition to aligning itself with businesses, institutions, public corporations and boroughs in a territory totalling ten square kilometres, the Société du Havre de Montreal was given a City mandate to plan the Quartier Bonaventure project. This project involves the redesign of the Bonaventure Expressway, which is essential to this major urban reweaving of the faubourg des Récollets and Griffintown areas.
